Comments:    How can you cover over 40 years in a few sentences? I went to nursing school @ East Tennesse Baptist in Knoxville. have worked in Emergency medicine or intensive care until I had to retire due to my rheumatoid arthritis in 1990. After that I worked part time as director of the local Arthritis Foundation until 2000. Jim & I married in 1967. He has had a lot health problems but is still going strong. He has had several heart attacks and has 5 stents in his heart. He also had a stroke in 2004 while we were in Louisville, Ky. He was in the hospital for 3 weeks and then we were able to move him to Ohio where he was in rehab for 4 weeks. He had another slight stroke while we were in Gatlinberg a couple of years ago. so now the kids say he is not allowed to leave the state. Really though we are so blessed that the Lord has spared him. Each time that anything has happened there was always someone there to help us out.Everyone at our church has so much respect for him and all he does. We just finished a week of VBS. He has so much fun with the kids, especially our grandkids. Our daughter Angie lives about 1 hour away and will be starting a new job soon as the dietitian for Hospice in Newark, Ohio. she also teaches nutrition at Zane State in Zanesville. She has 2 children Sarah (12) & Kyle(8). Our son Marty lives about 2 miles from us. He is legally blind but still works part time at Lowe's. he just got his guide dog last year and that helps. His daughter is Makayla (8) and is so much like him that I just laugh. So between the kids, grandkids, church and voluteering for the Arthritis Foundation our life seems to stay busy.
