Retired from nursing as of dec. 15th., 2008.
have a 3 year old grandson, Brady, whom i keep quite a bit. also, 2 granddaughters, abby, age 13 and Bella (Isabella) age 10.
love to go cruising-been to alaska, eastern and western caribbean, mexico, bahamas, virgin islands.
favorite place i've visited-Hawaii.
favorite hobby-reading. i read a couple of books a week.
Norman & i are members of Rose Hill Baptist Church and i have joined the choir since retiring and love it.
keep in touch with Judy CHandler Whiteside and exchange emails with her.
attended the last reunions @ Jenkins and LExington.
I am just like all the other retired people who say they don't know how they had time to work!!!! Stay busy all the time.
Hope to hear from some of you. i will be unable to attend the reunion this year due to previous plans.

graduated JHS, entered nursing school that august @ King's Daughters' Hosp. school of nursing. graduated june 1967. went to work midnights, moving to evenings and finally to days in the operating room. most of my nursing career was spent as an o.r. nurse. I worked in all specialties including open heart, neuro, general, etc. No two days were alike which i liked.
Our o.r. compuiterized since 1993 and we were going up on our third info system when i retired.
I am perfectly content to be at home now. a good day is to have all my work caught up, "home alone" with a good book and a cup of coffee!
