Larry Neal Bray, 74, entered into eternity Tuesday July 18, 2023 from the Norton Community Hospital.

His loving family was by his side. 

Larry was of the Baptist faith. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation in the highway maintenance division. Larry was a loving father, grandfather and great-grand-father. He was always involved in every way he could whether it be sporting events, family gatherings or just spending time with the grandkids or great-grandkids. Larry loved sports in general, he was aways involved in little league activities and helped in any way he could with community activities for kids.

Larry was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball and football fan and a proud member of the Big Blue Nation. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Silas and Irene (Mullins) Bray: and three brothers Doug Bray, Gary Bray and Johnny Bray.  Survivors include his sons Benny Bray and wife Tina-Pound, VA and Shane Bray and his significant other Jennifer Sears-Kingsport, TN; his grandchildren Lucas Bray, Tyler Bray and Samantha Bevins; his great-grandchildren Sailor Bray, Liberty Bray, Lincoln Bentley and Annie Bevins; a sister Brenda Ernst and husband Robert-Cincinnati, OH; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends and loved ones. 

As per Larry’s wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services.  Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Larry Neal Bray.
