Lavon Conley, age 91, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, Ky.  LaVon was born on Feb. 24, 1932 to her parents the late Leffrey Burke and Flora Mullins Burke.  She was the wife of the late Truman Conley, a cosmetologist and homemaker, and a member of the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.

     Along with her husband and parents, LaVon was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Powers, Wanda Glisson, Christine Akers, and two brothers, Arville Burke and Granville Burke.

     LaVon is survived by one son, Jimmy F. (Jewel) Conley, one daughter, Neva Jo (David) Bonds, two brothers, Ronald Burke, Kenneth Burke, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of loving family and friends.

      Visitation will be from  11 A.M. to 1 P.M. ,Saturday, March 18, 2023 at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.  Funeral service will be begin at 1 P.M. Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Polly officiating.  Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Garden at Big Stone Gap.
