S. Eric Addington age 43, of Jenkins, Kentucky passed away Saturday May 14, 2022 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was born on September 17, 1978 in Wise, Virginia and lived most of his life in Letcher County, Kentucky.  Eric worked as a water plant operator for many years and had recently received his Level 3 License as an operator for the Kentucky Division of Water.   He was a member of the #RedForTrent Foundation.  Eric was involved with multiple car clubs and was particularly fond of Mopar products.  He was an avid fisherman and firearm collector.  Eric was a huge fan of the University of Kentucky’s Athletic Programs.  In his freetime, he loved repairing classic cars and grilling and cooking outside.  He had a huge love for his family and friends and was very proud to be an uncle.  
Eric is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Tackett, as well as his paternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Vernon Addington. 
He is survived by his parents, Steven and Becky Addington, of Jenkins, Kentucky; a sister, Kara (Chris) Neal, of Berea, Kentucky; one niece, Karter Neal, of Berea, Kentucky; a nephew, Caysen Neal, of Berea, Kentucky; and a host of other family and friends.
