Roger Pack - Class Of 1954

Roger Pack graduated from Jenkins High School in 1953 where he played football. He attended the University of Kentucky where he played football graduating in 1957. He was the assistant principal and football coach at West Carrollton, Ohio for many years. He later served as superintendent of Oakwood City Schools in Oakwood, Ohio. After he retired he moved to Centerville, Ohio. He had a brother Larry "Sourgrass" Pack who graduated from Jenkins High School in 1962 who preceded him in death.

Roger Dean Pack 82, of Centerville, Ohio died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018. He was born Sept. 27, 1935 in Van Lear, Ky. the son of John R. and Verla Pack. Roger was a 1957 graduate of the University of Kentucky where he was captain of the Wildcats football team. He received a Master's degree from Xavier University. Roger was a teacher, football coach and principal at West Carrollton High School for many years. He then served as principal of Oakwood High School until his retirement. Roger is survived by his wife of 59 years Nancy Combs Pack; daughter, Lauren; son, Bradley and daughter-in-law, Dayna Pack; grandchildren, Meghan (David) Wolf-Isbell and Jessica (Greg) Bartik; great grandchildren Mackenzie Woolf-Isbel and Spencer Ann Woolf-Isbel; sister-in-law, Mary Frances Pack; brothers-in-law, Ken List and Jack Combs. He will also be remembered by nieces, nephews, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie List and brother, Larry Pack. At Roger's request there will be no services.
