Ricky Dennis Duty, age 65, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023 at his home.  Ricky was born on Sept. 29, 1957 to his parents the late Donald Bee Duty and Maggie Virginia Varner Duty.  He was the husband of Elizabeth Ann Wright Duty, and a retired coal miner.   Ricky loved watching U.K. Basketball and Pittsburgh Steelers play, and he loved talking with people, but being with his kids and grandkids was his favorite.

    Along with his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Molly Leeann Duty, one brother, Carl Douglas Duty, and one sister, Linda Lou Duty.

    Along with his wife, Ricky is survived by four children, Anthony Wayne Duty, Justin Kyle Duty, Jason Lee (Erica) Duty, Jessica Elizabeth (Adam) Duty Kelly, one brother, Roy Lee Duty, one sister, Donna Sue Swift, six grandchildren, Nyla Kelly, Olivia Kelly, Owen Kelly, Lane Snowden, Mason Duty, Maggie Duty, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Saturday at 6p.m. at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church.  The funeral will be Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023 at 1:30 P.M. at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church with Greg Polly officiating.  Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg.
