Joseph Wade Addington age 42 of Byron, GA, formerly of Jenkins, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024. in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born on May 1, 1981 to James and Debra Meade Addington. Other than his parents he is survived by his wife Marcelina "Marcy" Addington; his son Xzavier Addington; his step-children, Brian, Dylan, Julia and Shane; his brother Wes Addington (Kristin); his nephews, Harrison and Will Addington; and his grandson Colin.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Burdine Freewill Baptist Church (11549 Hwy 805, Burdine, KY 41517). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location with Randy Joe Johnson, Mike Sparks and Victoria Reid officiating. Burial followed in the Addington Cemetery at Jenkins.
