Mr. Gerald Wayne Jensen, 62, a resident of Greensboro, NC passed away April 25, 2020.

Gerald was born February 2, 1958 in Utah a son of the late Orson Jensen and the late Loretta Adams Jensen. Gerald was a building contractor and a weatherization tech for Regional Consolidated Services in Asheboro. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and helping others. Gerald loved his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Orson Jensen, Jr. In 1995 he married Janice Trotter who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his daughter, Jessica Jensen Anderson of Jenkins, KY; his grandchildren, Noah Anderson, Mason Anderson, Raelynn Anderson all of Jenkins, KY; his brothers, Ernie Jensen (Betsy) of Rangely, CO, Ray Jensen (Angie) of Jenkins, KY, Richard “Monk” Jensen of Bridgeport, LA, Lyndon Jensen (Christine) of Whitesburg, KY, O.J. Jensen of Big Stone Gap VA; his sister, Starrlene “Starr” McCreary (C.W.) of St. Peters, MO and a host of nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Winston-Salem. Gerald will lie in state from 3-5 pm Tuesday at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home, 10301 N.NC Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 for those who would like to sign a guest book.
