Thomas Richard Charles, 76 of Ransom, KY, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Pikeville Medical Center. Tom was born August 10, 1942 at Burdine, KY, to the late Otis Charles and Anna Compton Charles. Tom is also preceded in death by one brother; Bruce Charles and one sister; Deloris Charles. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam War. Tom was a supervisor for Bell South and a member of the Delbarton Regional Church of God.

     Tom is survived by his wife; Phyllis Irene Charles, his children; Thomas R. (Amy) Charles II of South Williamson, KY, and Brandi (Michael E.) Rose of Chattaroy, WV, his siblings; Mary E. Blumenthal of Akron, OH, and Ronald Charles of Dorton, KY. He is also survived by his loving aunt; Elizabeth Riddle of Shelbiana, KY, his grandchildren; Hunter Charles, Andrew Charles, Blake Charles, Kaitlyn Charles, Brooklyn Rose, Ashley Edwards and Alex Edwards and a host of loving family and friends.

     A memorial service will be conducted from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday November 14, 2018 at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home. R. E. Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, KY is serving the Charles family.
