SARAH MAE BOLLING  

July 19, 1941 - July 11, 2018  

Sarah Mae (Russell) Bolling was born in Jenkins, Kentucky to Ray and Malvis (Elam) Russell - with one sister, Barbara Morris. Raised in Jenkins and later graduated with degrees from the University of Virginia and East Tennessee State University. After college, she became a social worker for the state of Kentucky. She then married Larry W. Bolling on April 25, 1964 and moved to Alexandria, VA. where she became an electrical business owner with her husband for 25 years. She was married for 40 years to Larry until his passing in 2003. Sarah was an amazing mother, loyal, smart, private, kind and a strong God fearing woman that attended church throughout her life. She was a loving person who cared for her mother until the end. She was an avid reader, extreme Redskins fan, practiced Jazzercise for 20+ years, a wordsmith and gifted in Math. She was selfless, had a huge heart and helped anyone she could. She leaves behind two daughters, Amy Bolling and Elizabeth; two grandsons, Joseph and Brandon Webb, and her Chihuahua baby, Bella Rae. Sarah was a pillar of strength, witty and mind strong until her last hour. A private burial was held on July 14, 2018 and a graveside memorial service was held on August 18, 2018.
