Clyde Maggard, Jr., age 55, of McRoberts, Kentucky, passed away on September 7, 2015 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, Whitesburg, Kentucky.  He was born on March 21, 1960 in Whitesburg, Kentucky and had been a lifelong resident of Letcher County, Kentucky.  Clyde had worked for numerous years as a coal miner.  He greatly enjoyed fishing and was a big fan of the University of Kentucky basketball and football teams and of NASCAR.  Clyde was of the Pentecostal Faith.

   He is survived by his parents, Clyde J. Maggard and Ruby Banks Maggard; two sisters, Carla Smith, of Neon, Kentucky, and Kim Looney, of Burdine, Kentucky; two brothers, Jeff Maggard, of Dalton, Georgia, and Michael Maggard, of Deane (Loves Branch), Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

   Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 9, 2015 after 6:00 PM at Carty Funeral Home Neon Chapel, Neon, Kentucky.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 10 at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Willie Lamb and Jeff Slone officiating.  Interment will follow at Jenkins-Payne Gap Cemetery, Payne Gap, Kentucky.
