Wilma (Tootsie) Hall (Alvis) - Class Of 1956

Wilma J. Alvis, 79, died in the early evening hours on Saturday, September 24, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Marion County. She leaves behind her husband, James H. Alvis, Dunnellon; her daughters, Teresa Salter (Gordon), Largo, FL and Sherri Gallegos (Dean) Round Rock, TX; her stepchildren, James H. Alvis, Jr.,(Sharon), Seffner, FL, Brady A. Alvis (Teresa) Seffner, FL, Donna Rippley, Largo, FL and Cindy Walker (Dean) St. Petersburg, FL; her brother, Cecil Hall (Jeannie), Matthews, NC; her daughter in law, Irma Blanton, Royal Palm Beach, FL; her twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son Bert Blanton.

Wilma was born on September 3, 1937 to the late Jacob T. and Opal Marie (Hall) Hayes in Jenkins, KY. She moved to Florida in 1956 from Jenkins, KY.  Wilma and her husband James  presently attend Lighthouse Baptist Church in Citrus Springs.  

Funeral Services commemorating Wilma’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM with a public viewing held one hour prior at Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon with Pastor Jess Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens, Beverly Hills, FL.
