Joshua Lee Wyatt, 25, of Jenkins, died August 2, 2013.

Born in Whitesburg, he lived nearly all of his life in Letcher County. He had worked in the construction industry and was of the Freewill Baptist faith. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Wade Wyatt, Sr.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jennifer Whisman McLemore and James Darrell McLemore, of Shallotte, N.C.; two sons, Joshua Braden Wyatt and Gavin Lee Hughes, both of Shallotte, N.C.; grandfather, Morgan Wyatt, Jenkins; grandmother, Emma Northcutt, Trinity, N.C.; two brothers, Darrell W. Wyatt, Jr., of Jenkins, and Billy W. Wyatt, of Shallotte, N.C.; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Private graveside services were held on August 5, officiated by Pastor James “Tweet” Johnson. Burial was in the Wyatt family cemetery.
