Obituary for Larry Joseph Whitt

Larry J. Whitt age 67 of McRoberts passed away Saturday July 14, 2012 at his residence. 
He was born on August 1, 1944 to the late Henry R. and Dorothy E. Greene Whitt. He was a self employed salesman and of the Baptist faith. He was an avid deer and bird hunter. He also loved to fish and was a Pro-Archer. He was a member of the Pheasants Forever club and the Rouffed Grouse. 
He is survived by his wife; Marie Whitt, two sons; Jeff (Mindi) Whitt of Edmond, OK., Bryan (Elizabeth) Whitt of Grand Junction, CO., one brother-in-law thought of as a brother; Darrell Triplett of McRoberts, one sister-in-law thought of as a sister; Bo Triplett of McRoberts, a special niece and nephew; Frieda Ritchie and E.O. Triplett. 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Hall & Jones Funeral Home with Winston McCarty officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Whitesburg. Visitation will be held on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

Larry played football for the Cavaliers graduating in 1962. After graduation he moved to Ironton, Ohio where he lived for several years. He became ill and he and his wife moved back to McRoberts where he passed away.
