Ronald Glen Polly - Class Of 1958

Ronald Glen Polly, 73, of Whitesburg passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Ronald was the son of the late Millard and Lillie Webb Polly. Ronald practiced law in Whitesburg for nearly 48 years, starting his practice with Stephen Combs, Jr. For the last 34 years he has been with his nephew Gene Smallwood in what now is the law firm of Polly and Smallwood.
Surviving is his wife: Mary Morris "Muffet" Polly; 2 sons: Ronald "Mister" Polly, Jr. and wife Sandy of Atlanta, Georgia and Matthew Polly and wife Jennifer of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter: Mary Page and husband Gerard V.H. Platerink of Hillsborough, California; 8 beloved grandchildren: Miller, Charlotte, Eliza, Livvy, Lodo, James, Sabine, and Vanessa; 1 brother: Ray Polly of Georgetown; 3 sisters: Nancy Bates of Lexington, Jenell Salyers of Louisville, and Sandra Butler of Frankfort along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Ronald was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Polly; 2 sisters: Bonnie Smallwood and Doris Lewis.
Service was at Graham Memorial Presbyterian Church on Saturday. March 19, 2011 at 1:00 O'clock P.M. and conducted by Jerry Ut.
Honorary pallbearers were Ray Polly, Gene Smallwood Jr., Pat Craft and James Hill. Active pallbearers were Mister Polly, Matthew Polly, Gerard VH Platerink, Eric Polly and Jordan Smallwood
Concluding Service was at Green Acres Cemetery, Ermine, Kentucky with arrangements by Letcher Funeral Home, Inc
