Kay Dann (Mahan) - Class Of 1960

Kaye D. Mayan, age 70, of Vandalia, Ohio passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Kettering Medical Center.  She was born May 5, 1942 in Jenkins, KY, daughter of the late Tony & Kathleen (Miller) Dann.
Kaye was a member of the Vandalia United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, "Grannie" and friend.
Preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Barry Johnson, Kaye is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jim Mahan; 2 children, Tony & wife, Lynn Mahan of Powell, OH, and Tracy Mahan of Vandalia; 2 grandchildren, Matt & Morgan Mahan; her beloved dogs, Zoey and D.J.; aunt & uncle, Marcie & Roscoe Miller of FL, and her loving extended family, Kathy & Mitch Bentley, and their children, Bryan & wife, Sara Bentley and Jamie Bentley; Wayne & Jill Mahan and their children, Adam Mahan and Kathy & husband, Adam Mason; Brenda (Johnson) Spriggs & her children, Cody, Brett, Tyler, Logan & Toby; Chet & wife, Peg Mahan & their daughter, Michelle Mahan; Patty Johnson & her son, Tyler; Pat Hubbard and her family, along with a host of other loving relatives and friends in the Jenkins, Kentucky area as well as Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 6, at the Vandalia United Methodist Church, 200 S. Dixie Dr., with Rev. Thomas Weeks officiating.
The family received friends at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home, 139 S. Dixie Dr., Vandalia on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the VUMC Women, the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, the Vandalia-Butler Food Pantry, or the Jenkins United Methodist Church, Jenkins, KY.
