Buford David Gilliam - Class Of 1971 VIEW PROFILE

Buford David Gilliam Sr., age 68, of Left Fork of Island Creek in Pikeville, KY., passed from this life Monday, March 7, 2022. David was born June 12, 1953, to the late Buford Charles and Betty Jean “Hobbs” Gilliam in Jenkins, KY.

Besides both parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Glen Houston Gilliam.

David is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Gilliam; son, Buford David Gilliam Jr. and his fiancé, Rosanna Wood; daughter, Kristy Lynn Neace and her fiancé Kevin Mannon; grandchildren, William Jarrod Thacker and his fiance, Rose, Joshua Caleb Thacker, Elijah Colt Neace, Kaitlyn Grace Neace, Reagan Hope Mannon; great grandchildren, Jackson Lee Thacker and Abel Xavier Thacker; sister, Ruby Branham and her husband, Teddy, and Serena Higgens and her husband, De; brothers, Rodney Gilliam, William Gilliam, Jason Gilliam, Bobby Joe Gilliam; along with a loving host of family, friends and loved ones.

David served his nation proudly in the United States Army and wore the title Veteran with great confidence. David was a beloved husband, treasured fathered, a loyal grandfather, and an adored great grandfather. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family will accept friends at Voice of Victory Revival Church, located at 886 Collins Highway, Pikeville, KY., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 5:00 PM and Thursday, March 10, 2022, for open visitation with services nightly beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services for David will be Friday, March 11, 2022, at 1:00 PM, also at the church, Military Rites will be observed by the Johns Creek DAV Chapter #166. Burial will then follow at the Holbrook Family Cemetery located at Island Creek in Pikeville, KY. Donnie R. Hall will officiate over all services for David.
