Pritchard, Arthur Ray age 54 of Jenkins, KY, passed from this life at 11:40 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 1989 at the Jenkins Community Hospital after a long illness. He was the son of Mae (Minnix) Pritchard and the late Ernest Pritchard, born December 14, 1934 in Dunham, KY. Preceding Ray in death was his father on August 4, 1962. Survivors are his wife: Mary (Johnson) Pritchard; two daughters; Gina Bowman and Carol Potter of Stafford, VA. A grandson, Louis Christopher Ray; his mother, Mae Pritchard of Jenkins, KY. four sisters: Opal Norris, Indianapolis, IN; Madge Fleenor, New Albany, IN; Barbara Kennedy and Eloise Amendola of Richmond, VA. Ray was a retired coal miner of Beth-Elkhorn Coal Corporation; member of the First Baptist Church of Jenkins, KY. Ray was a faithful Christian servant for many years having served as Deacon and Superintendent of the Central Missionary Baptist Church of Jenkins until its closing. Interment at Sam Bentley Cemetery, Rt. 1 Jenkins, KY.
