Hershel Evin Hall, 14, died July 25 at his home in Fleming-Neon.

Born in Ft. Stewart Hinersville, Ga., he was a son of Kevin S. Hall of Hemphill and Glenda Webb Hall of Neon, and a brother of the late Kevin Glen Hall.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion and was active in his school’s band, football team, basketball team and baseball team.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his grandmothers, Shelia Quillen Hall and Jean Halcomb of Neon; his grandfathers, Harold Glen Webb of Jenkins and Evin Hall of Neon; and two sisters, Breanna Hall and Callie Hall, both of Neon.

Funeral services were held July 30 at Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Whitesburg.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
