Billy Lee Boy After several years of declining health, Bill went to his heavenly home on Wednesday April 30, 2014. Born on May 15, 1933 in Gate City, VA, his family moved soon after to Jenkins, KY where he grew up. After attending Morehead State University on a music scholarship, he entered the armed forces during the Korean War. He retired from Borden Metal in Carlisle, OH in 1991. He and his beloved wife, Ann, lived in Miamisburg, OH and would have celebrated 60 years of married life on June 5. A gregarious person, Bill loved his large family deeply and also maintained close ties to relatives, school friends and former neighbors. His interests ranged from the stage, singing in choir and narrating cantatas to gardening, mushroom hunting and walking the woods. An active member of the Baptist church most of his life, he served several times as a deacon during the family's 35 years in Carlisle. At the time of his passing, he was a member of Parkview United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by son Mark and his children Chris (Andrea) and their son Eli, Kayla and Caleb; daughter Megan and her children Sarah (Jason Thacker) and their children Stevie and Rianna, Mollie (Aaron Ditmer) their children Lillian, Abby and Aiden; Jon (Alysia) and their children Kasidy and Liam; daughter Paula whose only child Zachary died in 2007; son Bradley and his children Jessica (Brad McIntosh), Justin and Jacob. Visitation will be Monday May 5, 2014 from 11am to 1pm at Parkview United Methodist Church 3713 Benner Road Miamisburg, OH. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Reverend Brad Martin officiating. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of kindness, the family requests donations to Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Ave Dayton, OH 45420.
