I liked this site much better when you could actually click on the year you graduated to find classmates instead of having the whole lot lumped together.

I agree that the site was better when organized in folders with the years... too cumbersome the way it is now.

Hey Duward,
Thanks for your continued good work.
I, like others would love to see the names broken down in years of graduation. It was soooo simple when I could click on 1957. I know it might be a big job but PLEASE...
Thanks, Mickey Bell (Looney) class of 1957

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the class of 2000 having a ten year reunion this year? Thanks!

I would like to let the Class of 1954 know that one of your classmate Eleanor Ruth (Hensley)  Crase had passed away on October 21, 2009 at the age of 72.  I tried to post that on the "IN MEMORY" section but it won't let me.  If you would like to contact me  (her son, David)  you may at:  tape_ministry@bellsouth.net  love to hear from any of her fromer classmates and friends.

I tried to post an "in memory" item for Mark Sturgill (class of '81) who was killed on Oct. 6, 2010, but I could not find his name on the student list. Mark died in a shooting incident. He was an engineer for KET and maintained their Hazard transmission tower. He was married and survived by 2 sons and his brother David. Mark was 48 at the time of his death. What a tragic loss.

No offense, but I found this amusing ... On the In Memory page, at the bottom, it says, "if you are a classmate and want to be added to this page, click here."

Well, I don't "want" to be added to that page and if I deserved to be added, then I wouldn't be here to click.

It seems to me that this site is being used less and less every day and I have noticed for a long time now that none of our teachers have subscribed to this webb site-----this is sad------where is the school spirit!!!!!!!1

Duward, This is a great site.  Thanks for all the efforts.

I have located Beatrice Pendleton Crane ( Validictorian of '58)  in Fuquay Varina, North Caolina.  She isn't listed in the missing people but I sent her the information. Her email address is

BCrane@GEMission.com

Betty Jo Welch ('58) lives in Bowling Green, Ky.

Does anyone know where Eva Molinar is?  She and family  came from Hungary and lived with Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Crase. I think she was only in Jenkins for about a year and she did graduate even with her sketchy records.

Keep up the good work.

Charlotte

Duward

I just logged in (jimmy Hall).  My class was 1951 and my profile came up as class of 1985.  Can you fix this?

Thanks to Jimmie Ann for passing this along to me.

The graduating class of 1965 is going to have a tent set up at the Jenkins homecoming days. Hope to see lots of people drop by. I am going to do my best to be there. Hope you can make it too.

To whoever posted the latest group of pictures, a picture labeled as Early Dunham ? is actually houses at #202 Mine.  A lot of these pictures are in the Consolidation Coal Company collection but there are some I have not seen before.  Thanks for posting.

Hey Duward,

I just posted a picture of the Jenkins Baseball Club from 1935 in my profile.  Feel free to add it to the "Early Pics" section.  Sorry, I do not have the names to go with the photo; here's hoping they get filled in as a Dad, Grandad or Uncle is recognized.

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all my friends still in the Jenkins area and to ones that have made their way to other parts of the country.

This Christmas is very special because just a little over five years ago my daughter had a liver transplant which was essential----by GODs grace it turned out perfect and just this week she was pronounced five year cancer free. This is going to be a great Christmas!!!!!!! My hope is that others out there that are faced with similar problems can say the same thing this Christmas.
